Signal converter Trip Amp DAT4520

General Description

The isolated Signal converter Trip Amp DAT4520 is a DIN Rail mount signal converter and Trip Amplifier with PC programmability. The input can be thermocouples, RTD, mA, V, mV, resistance and potentiometer. The DAT4520 will linearize the input and provide a 4-20mA passive or active output signal or a voltage output signal.

The DAT4520 is accurate to 0.1% full scale and has less than 0.01%/°f thermal drift.

The DAT4520 is programmable by PC based software which has been developed by DATEXEL to be user friendly.

For resistance and RTD's sensors it is possible to program the cable compensation for 3 or 4 wires.

It is possible to set the minimum and maximum values of the input and output ranges in any point of the scale, keeping the minimum span shown in the table below. Also, high burn out alarm or low burn out alarm is selectable.

The DAT4520 is isolated between the power supply and the input/output to 2000V, eliminates the effects of any ground loops and allows the use of the transmitter in heavy environmental conditions found in industrial applications. The DAT4520 is in compliance with the standard 89/336/CEE on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.

The DAT4520 is housed in a plastic enclosure of 22.5 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
