Potentiometer Converter DAT205 3W

General Description

The DAT205 3 W is a Potentiometer Converter with a Voltage or Current output. The DAT205 3W has a separate power supply and the added feature of holding the output with the use of the selection terminal.

The input from a Potentiometer in the range of 0-1K Ohm to 0-10K Ohm is converted and designed to provide a voltage or current output which is proportional to the input. The output is on terminals F and H. The DAT205 is available in a 2 wire or 3 wire output. The power supply can be from 18 Vdc to 30 Vdc.

The DAT205 provides a small voltage across the windings on the potentiometer. As the wiper moves across the windings a potential difference is measured. The DAT205 can measure this small potential difference and converts this signal to an analog output signal.

Span and zero adjustment screws are provided on top of the converter for ease of calibration and maintenance.

The DAT205 is in compliance with the standard 89/336/EEC on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.

It is housed in a plastic enclosure of 17 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
