General Description

The DAT4135SEL 4-20mA Multiplexer is an Isolated DIN Rail mount signal converter that has an enable and disable output. When a voltage is placed on the terminal SEL the output is driven high impedance. This allows with the addition of more DAT4135SEL's to multiplex the input into a PLC or Distributed Control System. Not only is the DAT4135SEL a Multiplexer it is also a signal converter that can convert thermocouples, RTD, mA, V, mV, resistance and potentiometer into a 4-20mA or voltage output signal.
The DAT4135SEL is accurate to 0.1% full scale and has less than 0.01%/°f thermal drift.
The DAT4135SEL is programmable by PC based software which has been developed by DATEXEL to be user friendly.
For resistance and RTD sensors it is possible to program the cable compensation for 3 or 4 wires.
It is possible to set the minimum and maximum values of the input and output ranges in any point of the scale, keeping the minimum span shown in the Data Sheet. Also, high burn out alarm or low burn out alarm is selectable.
The DAT4135SEL is isolated between the input and the power supply/output to 2000V, eliminates the effects of any ground loops and allows the use of the transmitter in heavy environmental conditions found in industrial applications. The DAT4135SEL is in compliance with the standard 89/336/CEE on the Electromagnetic Compatibility
The DAT4135SEL is housed in a plastic enclosure of 12.5 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
The DAT4135SEL is able to measure and linearize the standard thermocouples with internal cold junction compensation.
