General Description

The DAT7016 accepts inputs from up to four thermocouples or millivolt (mV) signals. It supports all standard thermocouple types, converting the analog inputs into 16-bit digital data and transmitting them over the CANopen (CAN bus) protocol for accurate and reliable communication.

Fully compliant with CiA DS 301 and CiA DS 401, the DAT7016 can interface directly with CAN controllers and devices that support these standards, ensuring seamless interoperability in distributed automation systems.

Both the baud rate and node ID are easily configured using DIP switches located on the side of the compact 22.5 mm DIN rail mountable enclosure. For convenience, the plug-in terminals allow the device to be hot swapped without rewiring. To guarantee safe and stable operation, the DAT7016 provides galvanic isolation up to 2000 Vac for 1 minute between the inputs, the CANopen network, and the power supply.
