General Description

The DAT3580-MBTCP Modbus Ethernet Gateway connects Modbus RTU devices on an RS-485 network to an Ethernet network via the Modbus TCP protocol. It enables seamless integration between serial field devices and modern Ethernet-based control systems.

Configuration is performed via the Telnet interface, allowing the user to set Modbus TCP parameters (IP address, subnet mask, etc.) and Modbus RTU settings (baud rate, parity, etc.). The device provides full galvanic isolation on all ports, ensuring safe and reliable operation even in harsh industrial environments.

The DAT3580-MBTCP features a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface with RJ45 connection, and an RS-485 serial interface capable of supporting baud rates up to 115.2 kbps and distances up to 1200 m with up to 32 devices in multipoint mode. Status LEDs provide visual indication of Ethernet activity, serial RX/TX traffic, and power supply.

The compact 22.5 mm DIN rail housing is made of self-extinguishing plastic, designed for high-density installations in compliance with EN-50022 standards. The device is certified with CE, UL, and UKCA marks, making it suitable for global industrial applications.
