DAT3022 RS232
The device DAT3022 generates 2 output analog signals from digital commands. The data are transmitted using the MODBUS RTU/MODBUS ASCII protocol on the RS232 network (RS485 interface is available).
It is possible to generate voltage signals up to 10V and current signals up to 20mA, both in active or passive loops. The device guarantees high accuracy and stable measurements over time and temperature variations. To ensure plant safety, two Watch-Dog timer alarms are provided. The isolation between the parts of the circuit eliminates potential ground-loop effects, allowing the use of the device even in harsh environmental conditions.
The DAT3022 complies with the UL 61010-1 directive for the US market and the CSA C22.2 No 61010-1 directive for the Canadian market. The device is housed in a rugged, self-extinguishing plastic container with a thin profile of only 17.5mm, allowing high-density mounting on an EN-50022 standard DIN rail.
The DAT3022 is designed to work with the MODBUS RTU/MODBUS ASCII protocol, a standard protocol in field-bus systems. This allows direct interfacing of DAT3000 series devices with most PLCs and SCADA applications available on the market. For protocol instructions, refer to the User Guide of the device.
