The DAT205 2 W is a Potentiometer Transmitter that converts a Potentiometer input to 4-20mA Output.
The input from a Potentiometer in the range of 0-1K Ohm to 0-10K Ohm is converted and designed to provide an output of 4-20mA which is proportional to the input. The DAT205 is available in a 2 wire or 3 wire output. The power supply can be from 10 Vdc to 32 Vdc.
The DAT205 provides a small voltage across the windings on the potentiometer. As the wiper moves across the windings a potential difference is measured. The DAT205 can measure this small potential difference and converts this signal to an analog output signal.
Span and zero adjustment screws are provided on top of the transmitter for ease of calibration and maintenance.
The DAT205 is in compliance with the standard 89/336/EEC on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.
It is housed in a plastic enclosure of 17 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
