General Description

The DAT4531B RTD / Resistance Converter is a high-performance, DIN rail mount, isolated signal conditioner for precise temperature and resistance measurement. It accepts a wide range of RTDs — Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000 — as well as resistance inputs up to 2000 Ω, and provides a temperature-linearized analog output in current or voltage format.

The DAT4531B features full galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply to protect against ground loops and electrical noise. Configuration is available via PC software for fast, precise setup or via DIP switches for field adjustability. Typical outputs include 4–20 mA or 0–10 V, selectable to match PLC/DAQ requirements.

Designed for critical applications that require accuracy, stability, and safety, the DAT4531B extends beyond Pt100-only devices by supporting multiple RTD types and direct resistance measurement — making it the ideal upgrade path from non-isolated transmitters and single-format converters.

Frequently Asked Questions – DAT4531B

How is the DAT4531B different from the DAT2065 / DAT2165?
The DAT4531B adds full galvanic isolation, supports more RTD types (Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000) and direct resistance inputs, and offers both voltage and current outputs. The 20xx series is non-isolated and Pt100-only.
Which sensors are supported?
Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000 RTDs, plus resistance inputs up to 2000 Ω.
Is the output temperature-linearized?
Yes. The input is measured and linearized to the configured temperature range, then converted to a voltage or current output.
What output formats are available?
Typical outputs include 4–20 mA current or 0–10 V voltage (see datasheet for other ranges).
How do I configure the device?
Use PC software for fast/precise setup or DIP switches for field configuration. Zero/span fine trim is available per the datasheet.
Does it provide isolation?
Yes. The DAT4531B provides galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply to improve safety and signal integrity.
