General Description

The DAT3017-V Voltage to Modbus Converter is an 8-channel input module designed to acquire DC voltage signals and transmit them digitally over an RS-485 Modbus network. It converts analog voltage inputs into a precise 16-bit digital format for integration with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other Modbus master devices.

Each channel supports a full-scale input of −10 to +10 VDC. Communication is via Modbus RTU over RS-485, with an optional RS-232 Modbus ASCII version available. Configuration is performed using the free DAT3000–10000 configuration software (downloadable from our website) for fast setup and calibration.

Frequently Asked Questions about DAT3017-V

What is the DAT3017-V?
The DAT3017-V is an 8-channel Modbus converter for DC voltage signals, converting them into a 16-bit digital format over RS-485 (Modbus RTU) or RS-232 (Modbus ASCII).
What input range is supported?
Each channel accepts −10 to +10 VDC.
How many channels does it provide?
Eight independent voltage input channels.
How is the DAT3017-V configured?
Exclusively via the free DAT3000–10000 software (download from our website). There are no DIP switch settings.
What is the conversion resolution?
Signals are digitized at 16-bit resolution for high accuracy and stability.
Which communication interfaces are available?
RS-485 using Modbus RTU; an RS-232 Modbus ASCII version is also available.
Typical applications?
Integrating multiple analog voltage signals from transducers or instruments into PLCs, SCADA systems, and Modbus networks.
